Corporate Finance

This course examines important issues in corporate finance from the perspective of financial managers who are responsible for making significant investment and financing decisions. This course reviews the theory and empirical evidence related to the investment and financing policies of the firm and attempts to further develop decision-making and problem-solving skills. The topics include cost of capital calculation, valuation, leasing, long-term capital raising, capital structure, payout policy, mergers and acquisitions, options and risk management. 3 credits. Online delivery or Lecture on-campus Prerequisite: FNCE 5001. Students cannot retain credit for both COMM 5102 and FNCE 5101.
