March 15, 2022 - The Senate of Laurentian University condemns Russia for its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, the unwarranted destruction of Ukrainian property, and the deaths of Ukrainian civilians and soldiers.
As an institution that holds the pursuit of truth as a core value, the Senate denounces the deliberately misconstrued history posited by the Russian state as the rationale for its actions.
Furthermore, the Senate mourns the disruption and loss of our Ukrainian colleagues in the academic community.
