Application Deadlines

Please refer to the following application deadlines when applying for your desired start date:

  • Fall Semester start date – Apply by April 1st
  • Winter Semester start date – Apply by October 1st
  • Spring semester start date – Apply by February 1st  

 

Fee Deadlines

All fees are expected to be paid in full by the semester deadlines indicated below.

English as a Second Language/English for Academic Preparation:

  • Winter 2017 – January 20, 2017
  • Spring 2017 – May 12, 2017
  • Fall 2017 – September 8th, 2017

 

University Preparation:

  • Winter 2017 – January 13, 2017
  • Spring 2017 – May 12, 2017
  • Fall 2017 – September 8th, 2017

 

Winter 2017
  • January 9th – Winter Session UP Classes Begin
  • January 9th-13th – Placement Testing Dates
  • Monday January 16th, 2017 – Winter Session EAP Classes Begin
  • Friday January 20th, 2017 – Last day to register/de-register from Winter session courses
  • February 20th-26th – Reading Week
  • April 13th – Last Day of UP Program
  • Friday April 14th – Good Friday (University Closed)
  • April 21st  – Last Day of EAP Program for Winter Session

 

Spring 2017
  • April 25th and 26th – Placement Testing and Orientation
  • May 1st – Spring Session ESL/EAP/UP Classes Begin
  • May 5th – Last day to register/de-register from Spring session courses
  • July 28th – Last day of UP classes
  • August 4th – Last day of EAP/UP Program for Spring Session

 

Fall 2017
  • August 29th-September 1st – Placement Testing and Orientation
  • September 5th – Fall Session EAP/UP Classes Begin
  • September 15th - Last day to register/de-register from Fall session courses
  • October 9th - Reading Week
  • December 8th – Last day of EAP/UP Program for Fall Session

Program Fees

Students can expect to pay a one-time only, non-refundable $100 application fee when applying to a program at Laurentian. Applicants are required to pay a $500 deposit to reserve their spot in their program of choice.
