Policies for Economic and Social Justice

This course analyzes public policies that would improve work, employment, and provide a just share of the benefits of society. It examines current problems in work and labour markets, and explores strategies for redesigning the economy in the common interest. The course considers a range of solutions including better labour legislation, childcare, and immigration reform, as well as key practices for making change. Lec. 3 cr. Prerequisites: 18 credits of Labour Studies or permission from the department.
