Introduction to Legal Studies I

This course examines where legal authority lies, what laws are intended to achieve, why people should obey the law, the relationship between law and morality, and differing perspectives on law. This course is not a general introduction to current Canadian law but will provide a basis for understanding and evaluating legal issues and decisions. (lec 3) cr 3. Students may not retain credit for both JURI 1006 and JURI 1105.
