Interprofessional Collaboration

This course will review the concepts of interprofessional education (IPE) and collaboration and how that collaboration can lead to improved patient care. The student will learn about different professions that they may come in contact with during their professional careers, such as social workers, speech language pathologist and medical. The concepts of communication, role clarification, team functioning, collaborative leadership, and interprofessional conflict resolution as outlined in the Canadian Association of Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) National Interprofessional Competency Framework will be addressed.
