Quantitative Methods in Geography
This course examines applications of quantitative methods in the various subfields of geography. It is an extension of STAT 2126 but focusses on multivariate analysis, including multiple regression, principal components analysis, numerical classification, and discriminant analysis. A selected number of non-statistical, quantitative models are also described. Department of Geography computer programs (as well as SPSS) are used throughout the course. PREREQ: STAT 2126.
