Vulnerabilities and the Environment in Developing Countries

This course examines how population and environmental inequities are conceptualized, measured, and constructed in developing countries. The concept of vulnerability is used to investigate why environmental change, impacts, and disasters affect the poorest and most vulnerable in society.
