Watershed Hydrology

This course is an introduction to the hydrologic cycle and hydrologic processes occurring at or near the earth's surface including precipitation, interception, evaporation, soil water movement and storage, runoff and streamflow. Emphasis is placed on the measurement and simple modelling of water and energy flux at the local and watershed scale. A mandatory part day field trip plus independent field data collection will complement material covered in lectures and practical assignments. PREREQ: ENSC 1406 or GEOL 1006/07 and at least one second year science course (lec 3, lab 3) cr 3.
