Update on Student Services, Campus Rec, Food Services
Student services will once again be available on campus, our staff will be available to answer questions from students in two locations: the library service desk and the myLaurentian hub. From these locations, students may seek out general support and be connected with specific student service areas. Operating hours will be 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. All student services continue to be available remotely.
The campus rec facility will reopen to students on Friday, February 4th and will operate from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (including February 5 and 6). As of Monday, February 7th, the hours will expand to 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM daily. Additionally, the Great Hall will continue to operate from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM and 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. Both locations will follow capacity limits established in Ontario’s Reopening Plan.
Reminder: students, faculty, staff and visitors are required to wear appropriate face coverings (e.g., non-medical, KN95 masks) to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission when indoors or unable to physically distance when outdoors. Masks or face coverings may be temporarily removed when eating or drinking in an area designated for dining.Safety ambassadors will be available in frequently trafficked areas to answer questions about health and safety.
The University will continue to facilitate vaccination by hosting vaccine clinics on campus through the Health and Wellness Services. Clinics will be held every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Local health units across the province continue to provide opportunities for vaccinations, please consult them to learn more about how to receive your third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Students, staff, and faculty members are also reminded to monitor their health constantly and screen for COVID symptoms. If you are not feeling well, stay home and do not visit campus.
