Getting it Write at Laurentian

Getting it Write at Laurentian is a learning module (presented in D2L) designed to help you with your writing skills. A big feature of that help is the use of the “writing process”—the best way to get your writing assignments done in an organized, step-by-step way. The module focuses mainly on essay writing, but also offers help with other types of writing including case studies, reports, and journals. The correct use of the MLA and APA reference systems is presented, along with a section on research and sample essays. Plenty of exercises, along with a review of typical grammar problems, will help you refresh your skills in many areas. A list of useful web addresses is included that will offer you additional help.  Check out the website by following the instructions below and see how you can improve your marks by honing your writing skills.

To access the learning module go to D2L (Desire2Learn) using the Quicklinks drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Use your Groupwise email ID and password to access D2L. Once you are in D2L, use the self-registration link at the very top of the screen to register for Getting it Write at Laurentian.
